She terms her alleged links with Karnataka politicians as baseless rumours. She has completed 10 films in a span of 15 months. Excerpts of an interview: Are you in hurry to finish a great number of films and get married as you completed 15 films so far? Marriage is many miles away from me and is definitely not on the cards. Achievement and good name is my only goal for now. How do you select films? It is less than a year since Mungaru Male was released. Now you are the busiest star in the Kannada film industry. How do you feel about this transformation in your career? I am not only thrilled but I have also become very emotionally attached to the people of Karnataka who have given so much of love and affection. Yes, I am busy as an actress and I have even taken many modelling assignments in Bangalore. In fact, people here think I belong to the state.
What is your role in 'Maharshi'? In 'Maharshi' I play Manasi. I am looking out for good roles that bring out more acting possibilities. As far as I’m concerned, every film is special. Though Maharishi is an action based film, it has its share of romance and glamour. There is a speed in narration. The role is similar to the one I have done in 'Kokki' Tamil film. Do gossips bother you? After the mega success 'Mungaru Male' you have been in top slot in Kannada. Please comment? 
Did You had a problem with the producers of 'Ganga Cauvery'? You are picking up Kannada fast it seems? Good role and good name first. When I get good roles and I perform it obviously I am in demand. When the demand increases naturally money follows (Laughs).

Pooja Gandhi is the newbee of kannada films who is considered as the most talented hot babe of 2007, debut films are many more ' Tum ake Salam' which was a Bengali film released in 2003 was her debut. 'Koki' in Tamil was a super hit and that was a great beginning of her entry to South Indian films. She has also acted in 'Dhamad Ke Intizaar' and has even finished a Tamil film 'Vaideeshwaran' opposite Sharatkumar. She has also entered the Sandalwood Industry Kannada film industry beginning with Mungaaru Male which was a Smash hit of 2006. It has finished 250 days and is still running houseful, is even the most successful Kannada film till date beating Dr.Raj's film. Mungarumalehas earned till now a huge sum of forty crores, the highest till now in the Kannada film Industry. "I am loyal to my work. I am disciplined and dedicated to my profession. I don't care for gossips. The majority of people with whom I moved have been nice" – Says Pooja Gandhi about the recent gossip in a tabloid about her. 
That is why I have been learning Kannada -- I can sign in Kannada now. I am also making conscious efforts to speak the language at public functions and in my interviews to television channels. Of course, I have not yet become very proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Kannada, but I assure you that I will be a complete Kannadithi (Kannada girl) by the time I celebrate my next birth day.
