Mammootty starrer Mayabazar to be directed by debutante Thomas Sebastian, who was a long time associate to Sibi Malayil, Sunderdass and Blessy, will start shooting in July first week. which was earlier expected as a Christmas release, is now planned to be released during this Ramzan.

Then, Pattanathil Bhootham, another comic entertainer by Mammootty which was originally poised to start by July, has now been postponed for two months. The makers are said to have made some crucial changes in the script, especially the climax sequences.In this movie will have two heroines, one of them beng Meera Vasudevan. The cast will also include Nedumudi Venu, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Innocent, Salim Kumar, etc. Mammootty plays a very down-to-earth kind of role, that of a labourer named Sivankutty.
